Project Description

Northwest Nebraska is host to State Parks, a National Forrest, and the amazing “lunar landscape” of Toadstool Geologic Park. It’s an outdoor playground for anyone looking to go camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, biking or just experience the outdoors. The Dawes County Travel Board is a group of volunteers who encourage the use of travel and tourism facilities within Dawes and Sioux Counties.

M2 was tasked with creating a brand and campaign to promote Northwest Nebraska. With a focus on the landscape, activities, and open spaces, we created a brand inspired by the WPA travel posters of the 1930’s – and the Discover Northwest Nebraska wordmark invites explorers to find something new. Our Media Plan used digital ads, the website, (since redesigned), print ads, and posters to reach the nearly one million people in Omaha, Lincoln, and the Front Range of Colorado who are interested in outdoor recreation. To further help those hoping to explore the area, we also created a tear-off map of the Pine Ridge area, and a  48 page trail guide of some of the most popular hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails in the area.
