IdeaTek “Bright Idea” Campaign

The Challenge & Objective:

We needed to raise IdeaTek’s brand awareness and salience through their service area and the areas they were expanding into. This meant diversifying media to reach more of the market effectively.

The main objective was to create a unified campaign that worked across a variety of media platforms, increased brand recognition, and looked distinctive. This campaign also had to have legs to grow for years to come.

Strategy & Tactics:

We chose to position IdeaTek as the smarter choice compared to the competition. To create firm brand/name recognition, we utilized the concept of a “bright idea.” This verbal tie-in to IdeaTek’s name allowed us to highlight positive aspects of the company and its products while simultaneously calling out the competition’s shortcomings.

The “Bright Idea” concept allowed us to create distinctive visual assets centered on old-fashioned neon lights in brand colors.

Results:

A campaign that included linear and streaming TV, radio, outdoor, direct mail, social, and digital.

IdeaTek continues to expand rapidly across Kansas. This campaign has also had multiple iterations and expansions without deviating from the core concepts and styles.
